Clematis Andromeda 4L

A beautifully flowering climber with two-color flowers. It wraps around supports with leaf petioles. It grows moderately strong. It grows up to 2-3 m in height. Large flowers, with creamy-pink sepals, with an intensely pink stripe running through the center. Yellow stamens. During the first flowering, in May – June, the flowers are semi-double, and during the second flowering, in September, they are single. It grows best in fertile, humus, moist, well-drained soils, with a neutral to slightly acidic reaction. It does not tolerate wet, too heavy, loamy or too light, sandy soils. It can grow in any exhibition, from south to north, but in diffused light. He does not like very sunny and hot positions. Ideally suited for pergolas, fences, arbors. It requires gentle pruning in early spring, cutting out dead or damaged shoots. The remaining shoots should be cut 30 cm above the ground above the strong buds in the first year after planting, 70 cm the next year, and 150 cm in the following years. In the garden, it requires supports made of elements up to 1 cm in diameter. It looks beautiful on nets, trellises, ladders and ropes as well as on natural supports, e.g. deciduous and coniferous shrubs.
